My Tale of Betrayal in the Senate

The Ryzom Event Team ran an event called Betrayal in the Senate this past Saturday. Here is my tale of how it unfolded for our group...


We were asked to come meet Dios at the fountain in Pyr. Dios told us that Senator Xylos is corrupt and is now traveling to the Matis Lands to deliver secret documents to the Matis.

Dios asked that someone volunteer to lead the group to find and stop Xylos. Some people tried to get me to lead but I informed everyone that “I am Matis and I intend to help Xylos, not stop him, since he wants to help Matis.” Our team decided to throw this twist at the event and see what would happen.




We were told he’s headed into Outlaw Canyon so our group split off from the rest and went down into that Canyon to look for Xylos. After a while we were informed that the other group had found him but we did not know what was going on.

It was decided that Xylos must be heading to Hidden Source if the other group had not managed to stop him. So we decided to attempt to intercept him at or before the portal.

Along the way we happened upon “Friend of Xylos”. We told him that we intend to help Xylos deliver his secrets to the Matis Lands, but that another group are trying to stop him.

Eventually Xylos himself arrived alone, and when told we are wanting to help he was suspicious at first but asked us to help him get through the portal then meet us at the Matis Arena. We did that and the other group tried to stop him at the portal but failed as we just ran past.




Next we meet up with Xylos at the Arena. We waited until eventually the other group arrived with Dios. A massive brawl broke out and to my surprise, we managed to defeat the other group, saving Xylos.




Xylos had us come and meet Nirni who was rather snotty with us considering we had saved Xylos’s sorry arse.




And then in thanks we were given these super powerful q10 Axes :p, But the inscription is cool.

I forgot to mention…

I pressed Xylos multiple times to cough up the secret documents. He would not but gave us his word that they would be given to Matis. We left uncertain that we could trust his word.

after the event xylos himself handed me an axe , ppl asked my about the inscribetion but was none. I looked at an an axe of q250 now , I asked him about it and he said he had given me his own axe. I said to him ,you need your axe ,trade me for an inscriped one and he did "vistory will be ours"it said and I am proud to own it !when we where excosteding him to the areana and the accatckers showed up. the Hot Matis team had but one choice" that was to kick there asres and we did out numbered an all! vistory to matis and the HoT spank team!will........... have swet fix all me typos maybe
